Wordie is a browser extension that allows users to save vocabulary, view synonyms, and review words through contextual highlighting and active recall exercises. The service is provided as-is.

3. Usage Restrictions

You agree not to use Wordie for any illegal purpose or in any way that violates local, state, or federal laws. While using Wordie, you are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the extension conforms to the terms of service of any third-party websites you visit.

4. Pro Subscriptions and Intellectual Property

Pro features are subject to a fee (either a one-time lifetime payment or a monthly subscription). All rights in and to Wordie, including the software and the website design, are owned by or licensed to Wordie. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Wordie is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for accuracy, the extension relies on third-party APIs (such as Datamuse) for word definitions and synonyms, and we do not warrant the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any information so provided.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wordie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, resulting from your access to or use of the service.

7. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the creator operates. Any disputes arising these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that region.

8. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.

9. Digital Products and Refunds

Pro subscriptions and lifetime access are digital products. Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of our payment processor, Polar.sh.

10. No Account Maintenance

Because Wordie is a local-first extension, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your own data using the built-in export tools. We cannot recover lost data as it is not stored on our systems.
